No. 7 Lehigh Dominates Georgetown 41-0 In First Shutout Since 2009

Lehigh registered a season-high seven sacks, included three from senior Tyler Ochojski and the Mountain Hawks held their opponent under 100 rushing for the fourth time in five games and the seventh time this season.
The Mountain Hawks are now 9-0 overall and 4-0 in Patriot League play.

The Lehigh defense started the game with a three-and-out and the offense moved right down the field to score a touchdown. Sophomore Matt Machalik ran for four yards to convert a 4th-and-2, leading to sophomore Jaden Green scoring on a 15-yard run to give the Mountain Hawks a 7-0 lead.
Junior Luke Yoder scored two rushing touchdowns in the second quarter, first scoring on a six-yard rush and then racing untouched for 41 yards. A blocked extra point left Lehigh up 20-0 after 30 minutes.

On Georgetown's second play of the second half, Singleton stepped in front of a Dez Thomas II pass and ran 26 yards for his first career touchdown.

Lehigh added two more scores in the fourth quarter. Sophomore quarterback Hayden Johnson connected with senior Geoffrey Jamiel on a 27-yard touchdown pass and later first-year quarterback Derek Morgan scored on a nine-yard rush.
Georgetown (5-4, 2-2 PL) had two second-half chances to break the shutout. In the third quarter Thomas hit Hassan Mahasin for 24 yards near the Lehigh goal line. Junior DJ Brown and sophomore Mekhai Smith held Mahasin up there, with Smith stripping the ball and recovering in the end zone for a touchback.
In the final minutes of the game Jack Johnson led the Hoyas down the field. Facing 4th-and-goal from the Lehigh 1, Johnson was pressured by sophomore Nolan Coen and threw incomplete to Jayvin Pyle-Thompson, preserving Lehigh's first shutout since blanking Georgetown 27-0 on Oct. 10, 2009.
Smith led Lehigh with seven tackles, while Ochojski added six, plus four tackles for loss and three sacks. Junior William Parton also had six tackles.
Lehigh gained 371 yards of offense, including 193 on the ground. Yoder carried eight times for 62 yards and a touchdown, while Green ran seven times for 45 yards and a score.
Johnson completed 14-of-21 for 178 yards and a touchdown and also rushed seven times for 38 yards.

Jamiel caught five passes for 72 yards and a touchdown while first-year Anthony Feaster hauled in four for 61 yards.

EXTRA POINTS… Lehigh is now 9-0 for the first time since 2012… The Mountain Hawks have won their first four league games for the first time since the 2016 team went 6-0 in league play… Lehigh is now 22-2 against Georgetown since the Hoyas joined the Patriot League in 2001… The Mountain Hawks have six shutout victories since 2000, with four of them coming against Georgetown (2002, 2007, 2009, 2025)… sophomore Talan Dudley registered his first career sack… Lehigh now has 18 sacks over its last three games and a league-leading 33 on the season… four Lehigh first-years made their Lehigh debuts, including Morgan, who scored on his first career carry… Lehigh's 41-point margin of victory was its largest since blanking Georgetown 45-0 in 2007… Lehigh recognized four members of its women's wrestling team who competed at the U20 World Championships in August (Audrey Jimenez, Aubre Krazer, Abbi Cooper and Mary Manis)… Jimenez also wrestled at Senior Worlds and U23 Worlds, winning two silver medals (U20 and U23).
