Lehigh wraps up regular season with 7-0 road win at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Lehigh women's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 victory at Holy Cross Saturday afternoon. The Mountain Hawks won every singles and doubles match to improve their record to 9-8 overall and 4-4 in Patriot League play. Holy Cross falls to 4-6 overall and 0-5 against league foes.
The duo of junior Cassidy Cruz and sophomore Abby Duddy earned a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles to begin the afternoon. Sophomores Briana Maravich and Kirstin Godau followed with a 6-2 win at the second flight before sophomore Christina Auyeung and junior Jamie Campisi picked up a 6-4 victory at the top flight to complete the doubles sweep.
Auyeung opened singles action with a 6-1, 6-1 win at the top flight before Duddy earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles. Campisi then clinched the match for the Mountain Hawks with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Abby Henry at No. 4 singles.
Cruz followed with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles before Godau claimed a 6-2, 6-3 win at the fifth flight. Maravich secured the 7-0 sweep with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at No. 2 singles.
Lehigh will now begin preparations for next weekend's Patriot League Tournament which begins Thursday at Navy.
