
Lehigh hosts Rider, LIU Brooklyn and Monmouth in Fall Invitational this weekend

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Lehigh women's tennis team will continue its fall slate this weekend when the Mountain Hawks host the three-day Lehigh Invitational beginning Friday on the Ulrich Varsity Courts. Lehigh will welcome Rider, LIU Brooklyn and Monmouth.
 
Play will begin Friday when Lehigh takes on LIU Brooklyn at 4 p.m. Saturday's action begins at 10:30 when the Mountain Hawks face Rider and Lehigh gets underway at 11 a.m. Sunday against Monmouth. The teams will play a hidden dual format featuring eight singles matches, as well as four doubles matches.
                                                                               
The renovated Ulrich Varsity Courts and new viewing pavilion will be dedicated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
 
The Mountain Hawks have two weekends of fall play under their belts after competing in invitational at Navy and Army West Point. Nine Mountain Hawks combined to go 14-11 in singles play at last weekend's West Point Invitational with sophomore Briana Maravich leading the way with a 4-1 record to come out on top of the third singles consolation bracket. Sophomore Christina Auyeung led the way at Navy as she won the A singles flight.
 
Following this weekend's Lehigh Invitational, the Mountain Hawks will host the Patriot League Kickoff on Oct. 16-18 at the Ulrich Varsity Courts.
