ITHACA, N.Y. – The Lehigh women's tennis team opened up its fall season with eight players seeing action at the Cornell Fall Invitational, which wrapped-up Sunday at the Reis Tennis Center. While Lehigh's results showed room for improvement, the four freshmen Mountain Hawks that saw action on the weekend were able to get acclimated with college tennis.

Four of Lehigh's eight players posted at least one singles win on the weekend. The Mountain Hawks' only championship bracket win came from freshman Jess Graham, who downed Mia Jovanova of Cornell 10-7 in a third-set ten point tiebreak to win 7-5, 0-6, 1-0 in the C singles flight.

Three other Mountain Hawks won consolation bracket matches as senior Jenai Bilimoria went 1-2 at flight A singles with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Binghamton's Laura Chitu and junior Abby Farrell won by injury default over Alexis Tashiro of Binghamton to go 1-2 in the A flight.

Freshman Jamie Campisi owned Lehigh's other singles win, by injury default over Cat Crummey of Albany in the B singles flight.

Also competing for Lehigh in singles were freshmen Cassidy Cruz and Nina Larraza at B singles and sophomores Ali Kaminetsky and Marian Prim at C singles.

The Mountain Hawks also had four doubles teams compete in two flights. Farrell and Larraza and Bilimoria and Cruz teamed up in the A bracket, while Prim and Graham and Campisi and Kaminetsky saw action in the B flight.
