
Lehigh continues fall slate at West Point Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team will play its second event of the fall this weekend when the Mountain Hawks compete in the three-day West Point Invitational, hosted by Army on the outdoor Malek Tennis Courts.
The Mountain Hawks and host Black Knights will compete against players from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Syracuse, Seton Hall, Fordham, Albany, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Drexel, Stony Brook, Quinnipiac, Long Island University, Marist, Fairleigh Dickinson, St Peters, Bryant, Binghamton, St Bonaventure and Manhattan as part of a 20 team field.
Lehigh was led by its freshman class last weekend in its fall debut at the Bill & Sandra Moore Invitational in Annapolis, Md. Freshmen Christina Auyeung, Kirstin Godau and Abby Duddy accounted for all of Lehigh's singles victories at Navy. Briana Maravich made her college debut giving Lehigh four freshmen who saw time last weekend. The freshmen quartet was joined in action by senior Abby Farrell and sophomores Jamie Campisi, Jess Graham and Cassidy Cruz. Campisi won a pair of doubles matches alongside Auyeung while Farrell and Cruz also combined to win two doubles matches.
Action gets underway Friday at 9 a.m. and continues through Sunday when the singles and doubles finals will be contested.
The remainder of Lehigh's fall schedule consists of ITA Regionals at Yale October 17-19 and the Patriot League Kickoff, which Lehigh will host, October 24-26.
