Colleen McQuillen ‘25, co-captain of Lehigh’s 2024-25 Patriot League championship team, will serve as the Mountain Hawks’ Director of Basketball Operations for the 2025-26 season.
McQuillen spent the last two seasons as a point guard for the Mountain Hawks, serving as a team co-captain with Stemmer last season. As a senior, McQuillen averaged 6.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and a team-leading 3.4 assists per game. She recorded 10 assists in Lehigh’s win over Big Ten member Northwestern in November and tallied 14 points on two occasions, including the Mountain Hawks’ Patriot League semifinal win over Holy Cross. McQuillen was also named to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team.
In her first season with the Brown and White, McQuillen averaged 8.1 points and 3.1 assists per game while appearing in 27 games.
“Colleen McQuillen is BACK!,” Micir said. “We are so excited that Col will start her coaching career at a place so near and dear to her heart. She has been a coach on the floor during her tenure as a player, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to add her to our sideline. Her organization, communication, and people first mentality will serve us well in her role as Director of Operations. What a win for Lehigh!”
The Cresskill, N.J., native was selected to participate in the WBCA’s “So You Want to Be a Coach” program in 2025 and took part in a two-day workshop during the WBCA Convention at the Women’s Final Four in early April in Tampa, Fla.
McQuillen graduated from Lehigh in May with degrees in English and Sociology. She is currently pursuing her master’s in Secondary Education with a concentration in English.
