Ice Hockey Program Information

Lehigh Club Varsity Ice Hockey has been a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) since 1996. The ACHA represents over 500 member institutions across the nation at the Division 1 , 2 and 3 level.  Lehigh competes in Division 1 of the ACHA.  

Lehigh is a member of the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association (ECHA) whose league members currently include US Naval Academy, Towson University, Villanova University, Temple University, George Mason University, West Chester University and William Paterson University, University of Rhode Island, Drexel University, New York University. The winner of the ECHA league standings gets an automatic bid to the ACHA Division 1 National Tournament along with the top 20 teams as ranked by ACHA members.
 
Lehigh Club Varsity Ice Hockey is a highly competitive team with a 30 game schedule and a paid Head coach and receives substantial funding from the University to provide a "varsity-like experience" for the student athlete participants. The ACHA also has an academic requirement for all athletes who participate which models the academic requirements of the NCAA.
 
The home venue for the Lehigh Ice Hockey team is the Steel Ice Center located just one mile away from the Asa Packer campus. All games are held on weekends to provide an opportunity for students and families to attend.
