Lehigh Announces 2026 Softball Schedule

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head coach Fran Troyan has announced the Mountain Hawks' 2026 schedule. The 2026 slate is highlighted by five pre-league tournaments, including three trips to North Carolina; plus 13 home games at Leadership Park and six contests against teams that competed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The 2026 campaign will begin in Miami with five games at a tournament hosted by FIU Feb. 6-8. Lehigh will face Stony Brook, ACC member Louisville and Texas A&M – Corpus Christi in addition to the host Panthers.
Week two features the first of three trips to North Carolina with five games at Gardner-Webb's Red and Black Classic Feb. 13-15. Opponents for the Mountain Hawks include Gardner-Webb, Tennessee Tech and Queens University.
Following a weekend off, Lehigh returns to North Carolina for NC State's Wolfpack Classic, Feb. 27-Mar. 1. In addition to the ACC's Wolfpack, the Mountain Hawks will play games against Loyola Chicago and Toledo.
Spring Break begins with five games at the Penn State Softball Invitational, Mar. 5-8. Lehigh will play the host Nittany Lions once and will play two games against both Niagara and reigning America East champion Binghamton.
Lehigh will visit UMBC for a doubleheader in the middle of spring break (Mar. 11) before returning to North Carolina for the UNCG Tournament, Mar. 13-15. The Mountain Hawks will face Tarleton State and UNCG in Greensboro, N.C. and will also trek over to Elon to face the defending CAA champion Phoenix.
"We're excited about a preseason schedule that will challenge our team, accelerate our development and position us well for Patriot League competition," Troyan said.
After a midweek trip to Penn on Mar. 18, Lehigh will open its home schedule and Patriot League play with three games against Colgate, Mar. 21-22. The Mountain Hawks will host Drexel in a single game and then will play their first league road series at Boston University, Mar. 28-29.
April begins with a five-game homestand. Lehigh will host Princeton on Apr. 1 before resuming league play against Holy Cross, Apr. 4-5 and then hosting Big Ten foe Rutgers on Apr. 7.
The homestand is followed by an eight-game road swing that includes visits to DeSales (Apr. 8), Army West Point (Apr. 11-12), Rider (Apr. 15) and Bucknell (Apr. 18-19).
Lehigh returns home to host Saint Joseph's Apr. 22 and then will head to Rutgers for three non-league games over its scheduled league bye weekend. The Mountain Hawks will battle Rutgers, Georgetown and Hofstra Apr. 24-25 in New Jersey.
After a trip to Villanova on Apr. 28, Lehigh will close out the regular season hosting Lafayette in the Rivalry, presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute, part of Jefferson Health, May 2-3.
The Patriot League Tournament will be held May 7-9 at the home field of the highest seed.
Lehigh went 28-24 a season ago. The Mountain Hawks return three of their six 2025 All-Patriot League honorees in sophomore Kelly Fricker, the league's Rookie of the Year, junior Peyton Sward and sophomore Helen Woloshyn.
