Mountain Hawks Wrap Up Weekend At Dragon Invite

PHILADELHPIA – Lehigh women's tennis traveled south this past weekend to compete in the Dragon Invite on the campus of Drexel University in Philadelphia. Alice Ann Pantsari, Skye Yonehara, Audrey Harrington and Hannah Letzer competed in doubles and singles competition for the Mountain Hawks.
The weekend began for the Mountain Hawks with singles matches on Friday against Hofstra and Saint Joseph's. Pantsari earned a 6-3, 6-3 win over Hofstra's Bohdana Bilokom while Yonehara also defeated her opponent from Hofstra in two sets. Both Harrington and Letzer dropped their singles matches against Saint Joseph's in two sets.
Lehigh matched up in doubles play against Temple on Saturday. Harrington and Letzer dropped a 6-3 decision while Yonehara and Pantsari were also bested by their opponent 6-3. In singles play on Saturday, Yonehara gritted out a three-set win over Saint Joseph's Elena Fleming while Pantsari, Harrington and Letzer fell to opponents from Temple.
The Mountain Hawks squared off against host Drexel in doubles and singles play on Sunday. The Dragons defeated the Mountain Hawks in doubles, but Yonehara and Pantsari claimed victory against their Drexel foes.
The Mountain Hawks will now set their sights on the spring season, except for junior Maggie Forkner. After winning the ITA Patriot League Masters Tournament on October 26, Forkner will compete on a national stage at the ITA Conference Masters Tournament in San Diego from November 6-9.
