BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh junior guard Jessie Ozzauto captured the first Patriot League Player of the Week award for the 2025-26 season the league announced Monday. Ozzauto delivered a career-best performance in Lehigh's season-opening 88-85 win at Cincinnati and followed that up with another strong outing at Fairfield on Saturday.
Â
In Tuesday's season-opener, Ozzauto poured in a career-high 25 points, including a team-leading four 3-pointers, and also pulled down a team-best seven rebounds as Lehigh defeated a power conference team for the second consecutive season and picked up its first win over a current Big 12 program since December 1999.
Â
Ozzauto followed that performance up with a team-leading 18 points and seven rebounds in the Mountain Hawks' game at two-time defending MAAC champion Fairfield. She scored seven points in the first 4:17 of the third quarter to help Lehigh trim a 14-point halftime deficit to seven points.
Â
Coming into the season, the Algonquin, Ill., native had previous career highs of 11 points and four rebounds.
Â
The Mountain Hawks (1-1) will open their home schedule Tuesday night when they kick off a three-game homestand by hosting La Salle, with game time set for 6 p.m. from Stabler Arena. Â
