Lehigh Women's Wrestling Unveils Inaugural Varsity Schedule

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head coach Brazel Marquez has announced the schedule for Lehigh women's wrestling's inaugural varsity season in 2025-26. The schedule is highlighted by two home events, with the Mountain Hawks also slated to compete in a variety of open tournaments, road duals and dual tournaments, leading into the first-ever NCAA Women's Wrestling Championships, Mar. 6-7 in Coralville, Iowa.
 
The home schedule begins with a tri-meet inside Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall on Thursday, Dec. 4. Lehigh will host East Stroudsburg and the other first-year Division I women's wrestling program and the only HBCU to sponsor women's wrestling, Delaware State.
 
The second home event will be a dual meet against Presbyterian on Friday, Jan. 30. Presbyterian was the first Division I school to start a women's wrestling program and has been competing since the 2018-19 season.
 
Lehigh wrestling season tickets are now on sale. Season ticket packages include the two women's home matches as well as all men's home matches. Single match tickets for both women's and men's wrestling will go on sale Monday, Oct. 20.
 
The 2025-26 season officially kicks off with the Nov. 2 East Stroudsburg Open. Lehigh will then briefly step away from college competition with wrestlers competing at the Bill Farrell International, Nov. 7-8 at the New York Athletic Club.
 
Lehigh's first dual meet will be at Lock Haven on Nov. 16. The Mountain Hawks will then send wrestlers to the Missouri Valley Open, Nov. 21-22 in Marshall, Mo., and the Nov. 23 Warrior Dual Tournament at East Stroudsburg.
 
Following the home tri-meet, Lehigh will head to Erie, Pa., for the Gannon Women's Duals on Dec. 6.
 
After a break for final exams, Lehigh will close out 2025 at the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships, Dec.30 in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
 
Competition in 2026 begins with a visit to the University of Iowa for a dual meet against the Hawkeyes on Sunday, Jan. 18. The Mountain Hawks will compete at the Pennsylvania State Dual Tournament, hosted by East Stroudsburg on Jan. 24.
 
Following the Jan. 30 home dual with Presbyterian, Lehigh will visit Sacred Heart on Sunday, Feb. 1. The Mountain Hawks will close out the regular season at the Feb. 7 Grand View Open in Des Moines, Iowa.
 
The postseason begins with the NCAA Regionals at a location still to be determined, Feb. 21-22. Lehigh will compete in Region 2.
 
The inaugural NCAA Women's Wrestling Championship will be held at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa, Mar. 6-7. The championship will feature 180 wrestlers with three participants qualifying from each of six regions at the 10 weight classes.
 
After the college season ends, Lehigh wrestlers will be back on the national freestyle circuit with the USMC Women's Nationals and World Team Trials set for early April in Spokane, Wash., and the U.S. Open April 23-26 in Las Vegas.
 
The 2025-26 Lehigh women's wrestling season is presented by the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
