
Fandre, Lovette Named Women's Basketball Captains For 2025-26

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – As Lehigh women's basketball continues its preparations for the 2025-26 season, head coach Addie Micir named senior forward Lily Fandre and junior guard Gracyn Lovette as team captains for the upcoming campaign.

"Gritty and tough, Gracyn and Lily will serve as our captains for the 2025-26 season," Micir said. "They embody our program's WE culture, and we all are excited to have them lead this year's team with their competitive edge."

Fandre was the third-leading scorer and second-leading rebounder on Lehigh's 2024-25 Patriot League championship squad, averaging 9.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. She tallied double figures in 16 games, highlighted by a 26-point performance in Lehigh's Big Ten win at Northwestern.

Lovette appeared in all 34 games last season and was a stat sheet-filler for the Mountain Hawks. In addition to averaging 4.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, Lovette ranked second on the Mountain Hawks with 79 assists and ranked among the team leaders with 50 steals and 14 blocks last season.

Preseason practice for the Mountain Hawks is underway, with Lehigh set to open its season at Big 12 member Cincinnati on Tuesday, Nov. 4. The home opener is set for Nov. 11 when the Mountain Hawks welcome La Salle to Stabler Arena.
