Lehigh Travels To Bucknell For Three-Game Series

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Patriot League play rolls on for Lehigh baseball this weekend as the Mountain Hawks will head to Lewisburg, Pa. for a three-game series against the Bucknell Bison. The Mountain Hawks defeated the Bison twice this past weekend, and the season series will be decided in the weekend's upcoming slate of games.
Lehigh (18-13-1, 5-6 PL) most recently competed in the semifinals of the Liberty Bell Classic against Rider, falling by a score of 12-4. The Mountain Hawks hosted two Patriot League doubleheaders the previous weekend, dropping two to the Navy Midshipmen on Saturday while sweeping Bucknell on Sunday. Rafe Perich earned his third Patriot League Player of the Week honor after batting .556 with an on-base percentage of .733. The Mountain Hawks enter the weekend holding the fourth and final spot in the Patriot League postseason.
Bucknell (13-19, 5-10 PL) had a similar weekend to Lehigh, picking up a doubleheader sweep over Lafayette on Saturday while dropping two to the Mountain Hawks on Sunday. The Bison played one midweek game this past week, defeating Mount St. Mary's 3-2 at home on Wednesday. Bucknell currently sits in last place in the league standings, needing wins to stay in the race for the fourth spot in the postseason.
