Lehigh Extends Streak over Lafayette in Dominating Fashion

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's swimming and diving captured its 16th straight win over Lafayette after dominating the Leopards 229-71 on Friday at Jacobs Pool.
The Mountain Hawks captured 15 first-place finishes on Friday.
The 200-yard medley group of Anushree Ghate, Danielle Prekop, Sarah Hardy and Noel Fresa swam to a first place finish with a time of 1:43.30.
Fresa was also on the winning 400-yard medley relay team alongside Cailtin Deitch, Mairin Ludwig and Willa Werwaiss. They placed first with a time of 3:29.05.
Not only was Werwaiss on the winning medley team, but she also brought home two individual wins. Werwaiss won the 100-yard backstroke (57.24) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.02).
Sophomore Caltin Deitch also had a couple of first-place finishes. Deitch came in first in the 100-yard freestyle (51.19) and first in the 50-yard freestyle (23.56).
Deitch also took a second-place mark in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.46). Teammate Mariin Ludwig was there to take first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.46. Ludwig won the 200-yard IM as well with a time of 2:05.70.
Sarah Hardy came in second in the 200-yard IM (2:06.20). Hardy also won the 200-yard butterfly (1:59.92) and the 100-yard butterfly (55.16).
Prekop came in first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.15).
First-year Kate Whitaker continued her strong diving as she won the three-meter dive after scoring 257.40 points. Junior diver Sarah Gill won the one-meter dive with 262.95 points.
The Mountain Hawks will look to keep it going when they host Drexel on Dec. 3.
