Mountain Hawks wrap up successful Patriot League Kickoff

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's tennis team wrapped up its final home event of the fall season Sunday as the Mountain Hawks finished play in the Patriot League Kickoff. Lehigh faced Colgate, Lafayette and Binghamton in the three-day event, going 12-11 in singles and 5-5 in doubles over the weekend.
Freshman George Cooper went 2-0 in singles play over the three-day Patriot League Kickoff. The doubles team of junior Colin Nardella and freshman Christopher Auteri finished 3-0 in doubles play.
The Mountain Hawks opened the weekend with doubles against Lafayette Friday, winning the final two doubles matches before sweeping all eight singles matches against the Leopards Sunday.
On Saturday, Lehigh was able to get one doubles win and three singles victories against Colgate. Cooper, Nardella and junior Tyler Hansen accounted for Lehigh's singles wins against the Raiders.
The Mountain Hawks then took two of three doubles matches against Binghamton, before Cooper grabbed Lehigh's lone singles win against the Bearcats.

Lehigh wraps up its fall season next weekend when select Mountain Hawks head to ITA Regionals hosted by Yale.
