Lehigh closes out fall season with successful run at Patriot League Kickoff

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In its final event of the fall season, the Lehigh women's tennis team put forth a strong showing as the Mountain Hawks hosted the Patriot League Kickoff on the Goodman Campus. The Mountain Hawks took on Army, Lafayette and Colgate on the weekend, going 6-4 in doubles and 19-4 in singles matches as part of the hidden dual format.
Junior Ali Kaminetsky, sophomores Cassidy Cruz and Jamie Campisi and freshmen Christina Auyeung, Kirstin Godau and Abby Duddy were all unbeaten in singles play, while Duddy and Godau did not lose in doubles either.
The event began Friday as Lehigh battled longtime league power Army. The Black Knights won the top three doubles flights, but the Mountain Hawks bounced back in singles winning five of eight matches. Auyeung, Cruz, Campisi, Godau and Duddy accounted for the singles wins against the Black Knights.
On Saturday, Lehigh squared off against rival Lafayette and won two of three doubles matches and seven out of eight singles matches against the Leopards.
The Mountain Hawks closed out the weekend with a dominant performance against Colgate, sweeping the Raiders in three doubles matches and seven singles matches.
