Lehigh men fall in season opener at Boston University

BOSTON ā Sophomore Jacob Moyar won a pair of individual events to lead the Lehigh men's swimming and diving team in its season-opener against Boston University Saturday at Competition Pool. The Terriers proved too strong however, winning 11 of the first 14 events to win 178-113.

Moyar captured the first men's individual event of the week, taking the 1000 yard freestyle in 9:48.97. He also won the 500 free in 4:47.67 Moyar also added a third place finish in the 200 yard butterfly.

Lehigh's other event win came in the 50 yard freestyle as sophomores Jamal Willis finished 1-2. Willis posted a time of 20.96 seconds, while White finished second. White also finished second in the 200 free and fourth in the 100 free.

Senior Dan Bateman represented the Mountain Hawks on the diving boards, scoring points with a third place finish in the one meter (217.50 points) and a second place finish in the three meter (246.52).

Boston University clinched the meet and swam unscored in the final two events of the meet.
