The Lehigh swimming and diving program hosted its annual year-end banquet on Sunday, March 24, at the Wood Dining Room in Iacocca Hall on Lehigh’s Mountaintop Campus. The luncheon is held to celebrate the year’s successes and to recognize outstanding student-athletes with annual program and team awards. The afternoon also featured remarks from head coach Rob Herb and several student-athletes.
Five members of the Lehigh swimming and diving teams were named to the All-Patriot League teams announced Wednesday. Freshmen Carolyn Koch (first team) and Courtney Patterson (second) represent the Lehigh women, while on the men’s side junior Chris Hoke was named to the first team, and senior Demetri Karedis and sophomore Danny Bennett earned second team honors.
For the second consecutive year the Lehigh women’s swimming and diving team finished fifth at the Patriot League Championships, which wrapped-up Saturday at Bucknell’s Kinney Natatorium. Freshman Carolyn Koch continued to lead the way for the Mountain Hawks, setting her third school record of the championships en route to a runner-up finish in the 100 yard freestyle.
Freshman Carolyn Koch finished third in the 200 yard freestyle, setting her second school record in as many days to lead Lehigh on day two of the Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships at Bucknell’s Kinney Natatorium. The Mountain Hawk women sit in fifth place with 219 points entering the final day of competition.
The Lehigh women’s swimming and diving team set three school records on day one of the Patriot League Championships Thursday at Bucknell’s Kinney Natatorium. Freshmen Courtney Patterson and Carolyn Koch accounted for the two individual records, while the Mountain Hawks’ 400 medley relay team closed the opening day with a school record performance.
