Two Lehigh football players were recently named to the offensive and defensive positional watch lists by College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) heading into the 2013 season. Junior tight end Tyler Coyle was selected on the offensive side of the ball, while senior linebacker Nigel Muhammad represents the defense.
Coming off its first Patriot League title in school history, the Lehigh men’s tennis team placed six student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, which was announced Tuesday. Senior captain Andrew Krentz was named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men’s tennis for the second straight year last month.
The Lehigh women’s tennis team was well represented, with five of the eight players on the Mountain Hawks’ roster earning a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, which was announced Tuesday. Sophomore Jill Sloand was one of four Patriot League women’s tennis student-athletes to achieve a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the spring semester.
Former Lehigh standouts Ryan Snyder and Mike Noone were recently picked up by Major League Lacrosse teams, Snyder joining the first-place Denver Outlaws and Noone heading to the Ohio Machine. Snyder has been added to the active roster and will back up Anthony Kelly at the faceoff X while Noone is on Ohio’s practice squad, but could join the active roster at a moment’s notice.
