Lehigh finished up action at the Roar EE Invitational on Saturday as the Mountain Hawks finished seventh in the ten-school tournament with a two-round score of 661 (326, 335).  Junior Livia Amado was Lehigh’s top finisher individually as she shot a 159 over the 36 holes (76, 83) to tie for 17th place overall.  Princeton won the team crown with a score of 612 (302, 310) and the Tigers were followed by Harvard (309, 309 = 618), Columbia (319, 314 = 633), Yale (323, 310 = 633) and Penn (313, 322 = 635).  This was Lehigh’s final tournament of 2009 the spring season.

Lehigh opened competition at the Roar-EE Invitational on Friday at Spook Rock Golf Course, and after 18 holes of play the Mountain Hawks sit in seventh place out of ten schools in attendance.  Lehigh shot a 326 in the first round, led by the play of Livia Amado (76) and Ana Nam (77) who are tied for sixth and tenth place, respectively.  Princeton leads the event after totaling a 302 and the Tigers are followed by Harvard (309), Penn (313), Fairleigh Dickinson (313) and Columbia (319) to round out the top five.

Despite battling very tough winds, and near impossible conditions, Lehigh defeated Penn 339 to 342 on Saturday afternoon at Heidelberg Country Club.  Jen Nagel posted Lehigh’s lowest score of the day with an 83, while Livia Amado (84) and Erika Kretchmann (85) were close behind.  Penn’s Lisette Vitter shot the lowest total with a one-round score of 80.

Lehigh finished action at the Hoya Invitational on Tuesday afternoon as the Mountain Hawks shot a 327 on the final 18 holes to bring their three-round total to 998 (334, 337, 327), which places the Brown and White in tenth place.  Livia Amado shot an 83 on Tuesday to raise her total to 241 (81, 77, 83), which places her in a tie for 21st place in the individual standings.  Nova Southeastern won the team crown after shooting a 308 on Tuesday and a 916 overall during the three rounds (298, 310, 308).  Rounding out the top five in the team standings are Princeton (317, 312, 312 = 941), William & Mary (323, 320, 307 = 950), Rollins College (326, 320, 306 = 952) and Georgetown (335, 323, 308 = 966).

Following two rounds of competition at the Hoya Invitational on Monday, Lehigh sits in tenth place with a team score of 671 (334, 337) on the par-72 course at the Members Club at Four Streams.  Livia Amado is tied for 13th in the individual standings after she shot an 81 and a 77 (158).  Nova Southeastern, the number-one ranked Division II team in the country leads in the team standings after posting a 608 (298, 310), which is 21 strokes ahead of Princeton (317, 312 = 629).  Rounding out the top five are William & Mary (323, 321 = 644), Rollins College (326, 320 = 646) and Richmond and Penn who are tied for fifth place with identical 652 scores.
