Four former Lehigh greats have been elected to the Roger S. Penske/Lehigh Athletics Hall of Fame.  Formal induction took place on Lehigh’s Packer Campus on Saturday, May 10, 2008.  Basketball standout Greg Falkenbach ‘72, four-time EIWA Champion Colin Kilrain ’82, cross country/track and field star Tim Steele ‘73, and two-way football standout Pete Williams ’58 are the newest members.  Falkenbach and Kilrain comprise the class of 2007, while Steele and Williams make up the class of 2008.  Formal induction for the Class of 2007 was held off for one year because Commander Kilrain was out of the country serving his duties as Captain of Special Forces for the Navy Seals.

Lehigh placed seven student-athletes on the 2008 All-Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field teams, including James Pachucki and EJ Schuck on the men’s side and Sarah Serwo, Shannon Alejandro, Kim Scotto, Jen Therkorn and Latasha Watson on the women’s side.  Serwo, Alejrandro, Scotto and Therkorn were First-Team selections, while Pachucki, Schuck and Watson earned Second-Team honors.

Lehigh finished its final day of competition at the 2008 Patriot League Outdoor Championships on Saturday at Navy, and the men registered a fourth place finish, while the women claimed sixth.  Navy won the title on the men’s side, scoring 199 points, while on the women’s side Army edged out Bucknell by two points.

Lehigh wrapped up its first day of competition at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships on Friday at Navy, and the Mountain Hawk men are in fourth place with 15 points, while the women stand in sixth place with 14.66 points.  The women’s 4x800 meter relay team of Jennifer Therkorn, Shannon Alejandro, Kimberly Scotto and Sarah Serwo set a new school record on the day with a first place finish time of 8:54.33.  Their time was five second faster than the previous record, which was set by the same team at last year’s Patriot League Championships.

The Mountain Hawks travel to Annapolis, Md. this weekend for the 2008 Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Championships on the campus of Navy.  The Brown and White are coming off a busy weekend on the track, where the team traveled to the Penn Relays for three days of competition and also hosted the Lehigh Games on the Goodman Campus.
