Lehigh placed five student-athletes on the All-Patriot League swimming and diving teams, announced by the league on Friday. The Mountain Hawk women were represented by seniors Allison Rolish and Erin Tormey, who both earned second team honors. The Lehigh men had three student-athletes: senior Kevin McGrath and freshmen Tyler Lareau and Frank Cuzzola named to the All-League second team.

The 2010 Patriot League Championships came to an end Saturday night at Navy’s Lejeune Hall. Three more women’s school records fell, enabling the Mountain Hawks to move up to fourth place on the women’s side with 317.5 points. The Lehigh men did not set any new records on Saturday, but did match the women with a fourth place team finish, accumulating 427 points. Combined, the Mountain Hawks finished the 2010 championships with 11 school records.

The Lehigh swimming and diving teams wrapped up day two of the Patriot League Championships by setting six more school records Friday at Navy’s Lejeune Hall. Senior Allison Rolish set her second individual school record of the championships, while the Mountain Hawk women set school records in both of Friday’s relay events. Lehigh’s men were led by a freshman class which accounted for two school records, plus the Mountain Hawks 800 free relay team broke a school record that stood for 19 years.

Day one is in the books at the 2010 Patriot League championships, and it was a successful day for both Lehigh squads Thursday at Navy’s Lejeune Hall. The Mountain Hawk women opened the meet by setting two school records, while the men rode strong performances in the two relay events to sit in third place after day one. Lehigh’s women finished the first day of competition in sixth place.

The Lehigh swimming and diving teams are heading to Annapolis, Maryland for the 2010 Patriot League swimming and diving championships, which begin Thursday at Navy’s Lejeune Hall. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a strong dual season where both the men and women posted winning records. Last year Lehigh set 13 school records at the championships, as men placed fourth while the women placed sixth. Sixth-year head coach Rob Herb is pleased with his team’s preparation and is excited by the potential this Mountain Hawks team possesses.
