The Lehigh men’s lacrosse team returns home on Saturday afternoon when the Mountain Hawks play host to the Yale Bulldogs at the Ulrich Sports Complex.  Lehigh played three times last week, including a two game swing in Denver where the Brown and White competed at the DU Face-Off Classic.  The Mountain Hawks downed Air Force 14-13 in dramatic fashion on March 6, while on March 7 Lehigh came up just short, 8-7, versus Denver.

Down four goals entering the fourth quarter Lehigh scored three unanswered goals to pull within one, but that was as close as the Mountain Hawks would get as they fell to Denver 8-7 on Sunday afternoon at the DU Face-Off Classic.  Senior Brian Bienemann netted two scores for the Brown and White who falls to 2-3 following the loss, while Cameron Flint scored three times for the Pioneers who improve to 2-3 after the win.

Down 13-10 with 9:54 to play, Lehigh scored the game’s final four goals including sophomore Cameron Lao-Gosney’s game-winner with no time on the clock as the Mountain Hawks downed Air Force 14-13 in dramatic fashion on day one of the DU Face-off Classic.  Lehigh led just once on the afternoon and that came on Lao-Gosney’s goal at the very end to cap a frantic final few minutes of play.  Lao-Gosney, Dante Fantoni and Brian Bienemann finished with three goals apiece for the Mountain Hawks, while Adam Paranka netted four scores for Air Force.  With the win Lehigh evens its record at 2-2, while the Falcons fall to 0-2.

The Lehigh men’s lacrosse team is en route to Colorado as the Mountain Hawks embark on an exciting weekend of travel and lacrosse.  The Mountain Hawks are currently sitting at 1-2 overall after falling to Navy in their Patriot League opener on March 2nd and will play two games while in the Mile High State, with a matchup versus Air Force slated for Saturday, March 6 and a contest against the University of Denver scheduled for March 7.  The games are part of the Ninth Annual DU Face-Classic, sponsored by UBS.

Freshman Dan Carr made 14 saves to keep Lehigh in its game with No. 18 Navy on Tuesday evening, but in the end the Midshipmen outlasted the Mountain Hawks 8-3 at the Ulrich Sports Complex.  Sophomore Cameron Lao-Gosney totaled two points for Lehigh, who falls to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the Patriot League following the loss, while Andy Warner registered five points for Navy as the Midshipmen even their record at 2-2 and move to 1-0 in league action.
