On Friday, October 3rd the Lehigh University Men’s Lacrosse program will host its second annual Community Night.  This year’s event will run from 7:00 until 8:00 PM in the Rauch Field House, located on Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus.   The Community Night will consist of a free skills clinic, as well as a meet and greet with Lehigh Lacrosse players and coaches.  Community Night is open to players of all ages and skill levels.  Immediately following the clinic, participants are invited to stay and get a first glimpse at the 2008-09 Mountain Hawks squad as they take on Lehigh greats from years past in the 2008 Alumni Game.

Lehigh head coach Kevin Cassese saw his 2008 Major League Lacrosse season come to an end Saturday when his Philadelphia Barrage were edged by the Rochester Rattlers 16-15 in overtime in the semifinals at Harvard Stadium. Cassese scored a two-point goal in the second half for the Barrage, who were gunning for a third straight MLL Championship, but Casey Powell scored 45 seconds into overtime to lift the Rattlers, Cassese’s former MLL team into the championship game.

Lehigh head coach Kevin Cassese will head to Boston this coming weekend to compete in the 2008 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Championship Weekend, which takes place at Harvard Stadium.  Cassese and his Philadelphia Barrage teammates, the number-four seed, will take on the top-seeded Rochester Rattlers on Saturday at noon before a live national television audience on ESPN2 in the semifinals.  Should Philadelphia emerge victorious, Cassese will play in the 2008 MLL Championship game on Sunday afternoon at 1:00, also shown live nationwide on ESPN2.

Smith Family Head Lacrosse Coach Kevin Cassese has announced the addition of 12 student-athletes to the Mountain Hawks program for the 2009 season that will arrive on campus on Thursday, August 21.  These newest members of the lacrosse program hail from nine different states and cover every positional group.  "I am proud to welcome these twelve outstanding student-athletes into our Mountain Hawk men's lacrosse family,” Cassese explained.  “This group of future Lehigh graduates of the year 2012 will bring very unique qualities to the table as lacrosse players, as students, and as young men."
