Former Lehigh standout C.J. McCollum is in the midst of a busy stretch with the NBA Combine last weekend followed by graduation on Monday and the NBA Draft Lottery Tuesday. McCollum’s stock has continued to rise and is predicted by many as a top-10 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
The Lehigh men’s basketball team held its annual “Zell” Awards Banquet and 2012-13 award winners were announced last month (Saturday, Apr. 14) at Lamberton Hall on campus. The dinner included a welcome from Associate Athletic Director Bill Griffin, remarks from a standout senior class, an awards ceremony, special banquet video and more.
Lehigh men’s basketball coach Brett Reed received an NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) Guardian of the Game Award Sunday evening at the Final Four® in Atlanta. Reed was presented the Education award presented to a coach committed to continuing education and the development of their profession in order to be better mentors, teachers and leaders.
Lehigh men’s basketball’s C.J. McCollum has been named a Senior CLASS First Team All-American, as announced on Thursday. A Senior CLASS Award Finalist, McCollum is joined on the first team by winner Jordan Hulls (Indiana) along with Mike Groselle (The Citadel), Mike Muscala (Bucknell) and Mason Plumlee (Duke).
Lehigh senior Gabe Knutson and junior Mackey McKnight were named Second Team NABC All-District honorees earlier this week, following in the footsteps of classmate C.J. McCollum who is a three-time First Team selection.
