Mountain Hawks look back at season at annual team banquet

On Sunday, Jan. 15, the Lehigh field hockey team reflected on a strong 2011 season at its annual team banquet in the University Center. The banquet was a celebration of a season which featured the Mountain Hawks’ third Patriot League Tournament appearance in the last five years, along with a number of individual accolades including four All-League selections and two major Patriot League awards.

Segear named to NFHCA All-Mideast Region Team

Following a stellar sophomore campaign, Lehigh field hockey goalkeeper Sierra Segear has earned a spot on the NFHCA All-Mideast Region Second Team, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Thursday. Segear was a standout performer all season, earning Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year honors after leading the league with 202 saves and a .774 save percentage.

The Lehigh field hockey team saw its season come to an end on Friday, dropping an 8-0 final to Lafayette in the Patriot League Semifinals. Lehigh heads to our nation’s capital for PL Tournament

Winners of four of its last six, the Lehigh field hockey team looks to continue its roll when it plays in the Patriot League Tournament at American this weekend. The third-seeded Mountain Hawks (6-12, 3-2 PL) are set to square off against archrival and No. 2 Lafayette at 2 p.m. Friday in the second semifinal of the day, following an 11 a.m. matchup of top-seeded American and fourth-seeded Bucknell.
