Walk On Tryouts
Lehigh’s Annual Walk-on Tryout Policy
Lehigh Athletics has an open tryout policy for our department. All of our sports run an open tryout; most of which usually take place within the first 2-3 weeks of the fall semester. The department is committed to providing an opportunity for our undergraduate community to tryout for our varsity programs.
Information:
Walk-on paperwork packets, instructions and details can be picked up in the third floor office area of Taylor Gym. They are ready for pickup by the 1st day of orientation. The packet explains what must be completed prior to the tryout in order to participate. The process includes NCAA and medical clearances. All Sport specific information will be provided at the time that you pick up your packet.
Plan Accordingly:
- Many offices are closed or have altered schedules on Labor Day.
- If you are under 18, we will need parent signatures, and we can help assist you.
Process:
- The paperwork process allows you to participate only in the limited practice session tryout.
- Head Coaches are responsible for making all selections.
- If you make the team, you will have to complete additional requirements to be eligible to continue practicing and for competition with the team.
