JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In its first round of the spring season, the Lehigh women's golf team shot 327 Monday and the Mountain Hawks are tied for fifth place in a 10-team field at the Benbow Invitational, hosted by Butler at Blue Sky Golf Club. The Mountain Hawks are tied with the Citadel for fifth place, 22 strokes behind host and team leader Butler. St. John's is second, one stroke behind the host Bulldogs.

Sophomore Minuette Laessig led Lehigh on Monday, shooting seven over par 79 to sit in a tie for 14th after 18 holes. Junior Reagan Jahn is also in the top 20 as she is tied for 18th place following a round of 80.

Senior Megan Moylan and freshman Alexis Browne both posted rounds of 84 and are tied for 32nd place, while freshman Angela Ding is tied for 48th place following a 91.

Competing as an individual, sophomore Rebecca Markunas carded an 86 and is tied for 37th place.

Butler's Lauren Tibbets shot even par 72 and holds a three stroke lead over two players from St. John's entering Tuesday's final round.
