TUCSON, Ariz. – Lehigh baseball rookie pitcher Levi Stoudt was tabbed a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American as the publication released its list of top freshman college baseball student-athletes on Wednesday.

In his first collegiate season, Stoudt earned second team All-Patriot League honors as he posted a 4-5 record with a 2.34 earned-run average. Making all 12 of his appearances as a starter, he posted three complete games as he fanned 45 batters with 22 walks over 61.2 innings of work.

The Pennsburg, Pa. native led Lehigh in innings pitched (61.2) and starts (12) on the season. He posted the second-lowest ERA (2.34) among Lehigh starting pitchers and third-lowest ERA among all Lehigh pitchers. He tied for the team lead in wins (4) while finishing second on the team in strikeouts (45).

At the end of regular season play, Stoudt owned the second-lowest ERA among Patriot League starting pitchers, in addition to allowing the second-lowest amount of earned runs (16) and total runs (24) among Patriot League starters.

Stoudt was one of just four Patriot League players named to the All-American team and the only pitcher (starter or reliever) to represent the Patriot League. The rookie right-hander ranked fourth in ERA among the starting pitchers selected to the All-American team, which consisted of players representing the power five conferences.

Stoudt is now the fourth Mountain Hawk to earn Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American honors and the first since 2005. He joins former Lehigh standouts Jack Muscalus (2002), Matt McBride (2004) and Joe Ercolano (2005) on the elite list.
