BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Following strong regular-season performances, four Lehigh women's lacrosse standouts were recognized as members of the All-Patriot League team, as announced by the league on Monday. Senior attacker Allison LaBeau, senior midfielder Julianne D'Orazio and junior defender Kierstyn Voiro were named to the first team while senior midfielder Lauren Beausoleil earned second team laurels. LaBeau, D'Orazio and Beausoleil were all named All-League last season as well.
Â
LaBeau has been named All-League all four years of her career, garnering first team laurels in each of the last three years. The reigning Patriot League Attacker of the Year has continued to take her game to new heights, currently leading the team in goals (37), assists (41) and points (78). Her 4.9 points per game are more than last season's 4.4. LaBeau has tallied 50 points (23 goals, 27 assists) over nine league games (5.6 average), five more points than anyone else in the league and seven more than 2017 Patriot League Attacker of the Year Kirsten Wilhemsen of Lafayette.
Â
Among LaBeau's top games were seven points at American (two goals, five assists) and seven at Lafayette (four goals, three assists). LaBeau has recorded five or more points in nine straight games, the last eight coming against Patriot League opponents. Two games later, LaBeau recorded three goals and two assists in the regular season finale at Bucknell, good for her seventh hat trick of the season and 26th of her career. LaBeau's 41 assists this season are a school record and sixth in Patriot League history for a season. She stands fourth in the nation among active players in career assists (98), 18th in goals (146) and eighth in points (244). Her point total stands third in school history. LaBeau owns a 34-game point streak since the beginning of her junior season, while she has at least three points in every game this year. LaBeau was a three-time Patriot League Attacker of the Week (her sixth, seventh and eighth career weekly awards) and is a two-time Patriot League major award winner (Rookie of the Year in 2014 and Attacker of the Year in 2016).
Â
Fellow senior, D'Orazio, garnered first team All-Patriot League for a second straight season. Lehigh's leader in groundballs (46) and caused turnovers (32), she's also second in draw controls (36). D'Orazio's 2.88 groundballs per game lead the league while her 2.00 caused turnovers per contest are tied for first. The Bryn Mawr, Pa. native is also second on the Mountain Hawks in goals (34) and third in points (40). She has scored multiple goals in nine of the last 10 games, highlighted by a career-high six goals at Lafayette, eclipsing 50 career goals in the process. D'Orazio is already Lehigh's career leader in caused turnovers with 91, which stands fifth in Patriot League history and is 11th most among active Division I players. Her 37 caused turnovers last season were top 10 in Patriot League history and just one from tying a school record.
Â
Voiro garnered her first All-League honor of her career as a leader of the Mountain Hawks' defense. A key mark-up defender, she has been asked to cover many opponents' top players. Voiro has helped Lehigh's defense allow seven goals or fewer on five occasions, allowing just four goals at Bucknell and three at Holy Cross. Â Voiro stands second on the Mountain Hawks with 24 caused turnovers while she's third with 31 groundballs. Owning at least one caused turnover in 14-of-16 games this season, she's added two goals and four assists as well. Voiro tallied a career-high six caused turnovers vs. Wagner to earn Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors. She also had three caused turnovers in Patriot League games - at Army and vs. Colgate.
Â
Beausoleil was named second team All-Patriot League for a second straight season, after another strong campaign in the midfield. The Mountain Hawks' leader in draw controls (37), she currently stands second in groundballs (39) and tied for fourth in caused turnovers (18). Beausoleil has also posted 25 points (22 goals, three assists), good for fifth on the Mountain Hawks, owning multiple points in nine games this season. She had a big game in Lehigh's key win at Army West Point, tallying two goals, four groundballs, three caused turnovers and two draw controls. Beausoleil tallied a hat trick in the regular season finale at Bucknell, eclipsing 100 career points in the process. Beausoleil has scored at least one goal in all but one Patriot League contest this season. She currently stands 24th among active Division I players with 135 career groundballs.
