BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Following a strong effort in Saturday's win over Wagner, Lehigh women's lacrosse junior Kierstyn Voiro has been named the Patriot League Defender of the Week, as announced on Monday. Voiro shattered her previous career high with six caused turnovers in Saturday's win while also scoring her first goal of the season.

Voiro finished Saturday with a goal, assist, two groundballs and draw control. Lehigh's defense didn't allow a goal for the first 13:54, helping the Mountain Hawks open a 4-0 advantage. For the season, Voiro has tallied a goal, two assists, a team-leading eight caused turnovers, five groundballs and two draw controls .

Voiro and the Mountain Hawks will look to continue the momentum on Tuesday when they travel to No. 12 Penn for a 1 p.m. matchup at Ace Adams Field at Penn Park. Tuesday's matchup will the first of a four-game road trip for Lehigh. The game is slated for a 1 p.m. start.

Led by senior Allison LaBeau, the Mountain Hawks took down Wagner 12-9 to pick up their second victory, moving them to 2-1 on the year. LaBeau anchored the Lehigh offensive attack with her second straight hat trick to go along with two assists. Senior Julianne D'Orazio, who also garnered honorable mention on Monday's Patriot League weekly honor roll, scored two goals and dished two assists for a career-high four points.

Penn enters Tuesday's contest with an overall mark of 3-1. The Quakers suffered their first loss of the season in their last game to No. 11 Cornell. It was their second matchup against a nationally-ranked opponent as Penn took No. 18 John Hopkins earlier this season. The other two victories this season came against Delaware and Rutgers.

The Quakers are led by junior Alex Condon, who has accumulated 17 points on 14 goals and three assists over the span of the first four games. Junior Caroline Cummings follows with 13 points on 11 goals and two assists. Britt Brown has started all four games in goal, tallying a .582 save percentage with 46 saves.
