BETHLEHEM, PA – Lehigh Athletics has announced that a limited number of standing room only tickets have just been released for the highly-anticipated Sunday, December 3 wrestling match between the 10th-ranked Mountain Hawks and No. 1 Penn State at PPL Center in Allentown. Tickets can be purchased on PPL Center's website, while supplies last. Reserved seating for the match is now sold out.

A crowd of over 9,000 fans is expected on match day. This match will set a new Lehigh home match record, passing the 5,909 fans that witnessed a dual between Lehigh and Penn State on February 12, 2016.

"We're excited to once again break the all-time Lehigh wrestling attendance number", said Rich Haas, Lehigh's Assistant Athletic Director for Sales and Marketing. "The response to this match reinforces Lehigh's fan base as the most loyal in the country.  The Lehigh Valley and people all across the region are passionate about wrestling, and are looking forward to December 3."

Penn State's last four visits to Bethlehem have produced crowds larger of 4,700 or better. The historic 100th meeting between Lehigh and Penn State in December 2011 drew 5,584 fans, which ranks third on Lehigh's all-time home dual attendance list. Penn State's last visit in 2016 established the attendance record for a Lehigh home dual meet, which will be surpassed on December 3.

"The Lehigh Valley fan base is so strong," Lehigh head coach Pat Santoro said. "They love wrestling. It's embedded in our culture. It's an opportunity for the valley to come out and support our wrestling program. That we've already sold out is important, and it shows how valuable wrestling is to people in the Lehigh Valley."

Parking is available in multiple locations for PPL Center events through the Allentown Parking Authority. Due to the sellout crowd, fans with tickets to the match are strongly encouraged to arrive at PPL Center early for convenient parking. Parking passes for the Linden Street garage can be pre-purchased here. PPL Center will open at 1:00 p.m. on December 3. Please note alcohol will not be sold inside PPL Center for this event. PPL Center has dining options located within the building, including Chickie's & Pete's and 99 Bottles.

Fans without tickets can still follow the match in a variety of ways. The dual will be televised live in the Lehigh Valley on Service Electric 2 Sports and streamed for free on the Patriot League Network. Audio coverage will be available locally on ESPN Radio of the Lehigh Valley (1230/1320/1160-AM) and globally on ESPNLV.com.

The Penn State match will be the third of seven home duals for the Mountain Hawks in the 2017-18 season. Lehigh will open its dual season at EIWA rival Bucknell on Friday, November 10 and will open its home dual schedule around Lehigh-Lafayette football weekend as Edinboro visits Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall on Friday, November 17 at 7 p.m. and Michigan visits Grace Hall on Sunday, November 19 at 1 p.m.

Tickets for all other Lehigh home duals can be purchased online any time at LehighTickets.com or by calling 610-7LU-GAME during normal business hours.
