BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Following a strong regular season which featured a 12-4 record and 6-3 league mark, the fourth-seeded Lehigh women's lacrosse team begins the postseason on Tuesday by hosting fifth-seeded Colgate in the Patriot League Quarterfinals. Opening draw at the Ulrich Sports Complex is set for 6 p.m. The Mountain Hawks will be hosting their first league tournament game since 2010 and are searching for their first postseason victory since that same season.

Tickets for Tuesday's game are just $5 for the general public and $3 for children, seniors and Lehigh students. Tickets are available in advance by clicking here.

Lehigh is coming off an exciting 12-11 win over Bucknell in the regular season finale on Friday. That win gave the Mountain Hawks six Patriot League victories to set a school record. Lehigh had won five on multiple occasions, last in 2011 when the squad finished in a tie for first place. The Mountain Hawks jumped out to an 8-2 lead then held off the Bison charge in the second. Junior Lauren Beausoleil led the offense with a career-high five goals, scoring four of those goals in the game's first 22:35. Beausoleil also posted a season-high four draw controls, including a big draw control after Bucknell pulled within 12-11 with 1:28 remaining. Classmate Allison LaBeau tallied four goals and an assist, her 11th game this season with four or more points. The Patriot League Attacker of the Year also eclipsed both 40 goals and 30 assists in the victory as her 71 points stands 15th nationally.

Senior Kendall Garden enjoyed a strong all-around game with two goals, two assists, three groundballs and two caused turnovers. In the process, she eclipsed 100 career points, currently owning 102 (73 goals, 29 assists). Garden is up to a school record 93 career caused turnovers, which is also in the top 10 in Patriot League history. Junior Julianne D'Orazio had a stellar game defensively, posting career highs in groundballs (8) and caused turnovers (7) to earn Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors. The eight groundballs were the most for a Lehigh player since 2010 while the seven caused turnovers marked a school record and tied a league record. She is up to a team-leading 33 caused turnovers on the season, second in the Patriot League and approaching top 10 in league history for a single season. Lehigh's all-time record for caused turnovers is 38, held by Rosie Sherry in 2003.

Friday's win marked the Mountain Hawks' ninth straight at home, a school record in the Patriot League era. The win was also Lehigh's seventh straight against Bucknell. On Tuesday, the Mountain Hawks will look to snap a similar losing streak against a red-hot Colgate team that enters with five straight victories. Two Saturdays ago, Lehigh jumped out to a halftime lead, but the Raiders controlled the second half for the comeback victory.

The winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal contest will play either No. 2 Navy or No. 1 Loyola in the semifinals Friday (depending on the result of No. 6 Bucknell at No. 3 Boston University). The Mountain Hawks last played in the Patriot League Semifinals in 2011, which marked Lehigh's fourth straight season in the semis. Ever since the league expanded to include Boston University and Loyola, the format of the league tournament went to six teams. This marks Lehigh's third straight season in the tournament. Lehigh will look to improve on its 1-9 all-time record in the Patriot League Tournament.

After a tough nonleague record, Colgate bounced back to post a 6-3 mark in the Patriot League, finishing in a three-way tie for third place (with Boston University and Lehigh). The Mountain Hawks ultimately earned the tiebreaker over Colgate due to a higher goal differential in league games. The Raiders are riding five straight wins, over Binghamton, Bucknell, Army West Point, Lehigh and Holy Cross. Most recently, Colgate earned an impressive 16-9 win at Holy Cross in the regular season finale Saturday. Isabel Kreitler leads the team in scoring with 46 points behind 31 goals and 15 assists. Emily Peebles owns 40 points (34 goals, six assists) while Haley O'Hanlon has 38 points (24 goals, 14 assists). In total, six different Raiders' players own 27 points or more. Goalkeeper Asil Asfour leads the team in groundballs with 31 while O'Hanlon has a team-leading 65 draw controls and Kristen Norden leads the way with 20 caused turnovers. In goal, Asfour has started all 16 games and owns a 10.41 goals against average and .365 save percentage.

Colgate has beaten Lehigh six straight times to take a 24-11 lead in the all-time series. Three of the last four games have been close, including a 10-8 final in the Apr. 23 regular season meeting at Colgate. The Raiders won in 2013 and 2014 by finals of 10-9 and 12-11. Lehigh's last win came in 2010 by a 15-12 final. The year prior, the Mountain Hawks beat the Raiders at home, 15-11. The teams have met twice in the Patriot League Tournament, with Colgate winning both meetings - in 2005 (12-9) and 2008 (22-12). The 2005 game was played at Colgate while the 2008 contest was held at American University.

If the Mountain Hawks win on Tuesday, they would advance to the Patriot League Semifinals for the first time since 2011 and face either No. 1 seed Loyola or No. 2 seed Navy on Friday. Loyola is hosting both the semifinals and championship game.
