Complete List of Honorees

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After earning first team All-Patriot League honors, Lehigh women's lacrosse juniors Julianne D'Orazio and Allison LaBeau have also garnered second team IWLCA All-Region recognition, as announced on Friday. They become the Mountain Hawks' first All-Region honorees since Lauren Dykstra and Leigh Ann Torcivia in 2011. D'Orazio and LaBeau were two of just 128 players across Division I recognized.

Only 10 student-athletes from the Patriot League were recognized. Loyola (4), Lehigh (2) and Boston University (2) featured multiple honorees while Colgate and Navy each had one.

After missing her sophomore season due to injury, D'Orazio came back with a vengeance in 2016, finishing the year with 17 goals, three assists, 30 draw controls, a team-leading 44 groundballs and team-leading 37 caused turnovers. The 37 caused turnovers stand among the top 10 in Patriot League history and just one from tying Lehigh's single-season school record. She enjoyed an impressive offensive surge in the Patriot League Tournament, posting her first-career hat trick with three goals against Colgate in the quarterfinals then following it up with four goals (and an assist) at top seed Loyola in the semifinals. D'Orazio was named to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team, also adding four groundballs, four caused turnovers and three draw controls over the two games, to go with her eight points. The Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania native enjoyed a monster game in the regular season finale against Bucknell, recording career highs in groundballs (8) and caused turnovers (7). The seven caused turnovers marked a school record and tied the Patriot League mark while the eight groundballs were most by a Lehigh player since the 2010 season.

D'Orazio's offense came alive as the season progressed, scoring a goal in five consecutive games from April 5 through April 23. She contributed all over the field, recording multiple groundballs 10 times this season, multiple caused turnovers on 11 occasions and multiple draw controls 10 times. She set a career-high seven draw controls at Loyola in the regular season and scored the game-tying goal in the final minute to force overtime. D'Orazio was an anchor of a Lehigh defense that allowed seven goals or fewer in 11 of 18 games. The defense leads the Patriot League, and is top 20 nationally, allowing just eight goals per game.

The Patriot League Attacker of the Year, LaBeau enjoyed a breakout season, reaching 80 points behind 46 goals and 34 assists. The league's Attacker of the Week on three occasions, LaBeau was also named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team as one of just four players named Academic All-League and first team All-League. LaBeau leads the Patriot League in points while standing second in the league in goals and tied for second in assists. Currently 10th nationally in points per game, LaBeau also stands 13th in assists per contest and 38th in goals per game. LaBeau is one of just four players nationally to own at least 45 goals and 30 assists.

LaBeau had at least one point in every game this season, recording four or more points in 13 of 18 games and multiple points in 16 contests. She added a team-high eight hat tricks. LaBeau posted seven or more points four times, including against three Patriot League foes: Holy Cross, Army West Point and Loyola. LaBeau scored a career-high six goals at Loyola during the regular season as Lehigh took the Greyhounds to overtime. She was the first Lehigh player to reach 80 points in a season since Dykstra in 2011. LaBeau was also named to the All-Tournament Team.

Lehigh ended its 2016 season with a 13-5 record, just one win from tying the school record after winning a school-record six Patriot League games in the regular season. The Mountain Hawks earned a big win at Boston University, hosted and won a league tournament game for the first time since 2010 while playing in the Patriot League Semifinals for the first time since 2011. Lehigh returns a strong group of players in 2017, led by D'Orazio, LaBeau and Lauren Beausoleil who all earned All-Patriot League honors in 2016.
