ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Lehigh women's golf team battled wet weather and cool temperatures to shoot 324 on the first day of the Navy Spring Invitational Saturday at the Naval Academy Golf Club. With two players tied for second place individually, the Mountain Hawks finished the first 18 holes tied for first place with Georgetown in the four team field.

The Mountain Hawks and Hoyas lead host Navy by six strokes, while Bucknell sits in fourth place eight strokes behind the leaders.

The start of the tournament was delayed nearly three hours due to weather. Once play began it was senior Nicole Feierberg and junior Elizabeth McGarrigle leading the way for the Mountain Hawks, with rounds of seven over par 79, to tie the Lehigh duo for second place.

Freshmen Reagan Jahn and Aileen Jeong both shot 83 and are tied for 12th place, while sophomore Megan Moylan is tied for 15th in the 25-player field after shooting 87.

Sophomore Casey Farmer is competing as an individual and sits in a tie for 20th place following an opening round 93.

Navy's Christine Walker shot five over par 77 and holds the 18 hole lead. Feierberg and McGarrigle are tied for second along with Georgetown's Christine Schmitt, just two shots off the pace.

The Navy Spring Invitational concludes Sunday with the final 18 holes beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Navy Academy Golf Club. The Mountain Hawks will play with Georgetown on Sunday with those tee times beginning at 10:12 a.m.
