BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After a tough game at Princeton Tuesday, the Lehigh men's lacrosse team returns home on Saturday to face another Ivy League squad in Cornell. The game will be played in Goodman Stadium and is set to face-off at 2:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. A free Lehighsports.com audio broadcast will also be available. Saturday is Community Day and Senior Day as the Mountain Hawks' 10 seniors will be recognized prior to opening faceoff. It's a Summit Series Game as a large crowd is expected with a giant inflatable for kids, and vendors on hand. Tickets are just five dollars for the general public and free for Lehigh students, faculty and staff with a Lehigh ID. There will also be a mid-line shot contest at halftime with a chance of winning 250 dollars and fans can enter by checking into Saturday's game with the Mountain Hawk Rewards App.

Saturday will be Lehigh's HEADstrong Awareness Game in support of cancer awareness. Fans can also donate to the fight against cancer on Lehigh's HEADstrong donation page. The Mountain Hawks will play in Goodman Stadium, home of Lehigh Football, for the first time since 2013 when they hosted Colgate. Lehigh won that game, 13-10. The Mountain Hawks and Big Red last played in 2006 and before that, hadn't played since 1955. Lehigh and Cornell played three times in the 1890s.

Lehigh will look to bounce back from Tuesday's 13-6 defeat at Princeton. A tight game early on saw the Tigers break a 1-1 second-quarter tie with a three-goal run. The Mountain Hawks pulled within two at 4-2, but that's as close as they would be the rest of the way. Freshman Craig Chick highlighted the night for Lehigh, posting career highs in groundballs (10) and caused turnovers (8). The eight caused turnovers were most by a Lehigh player since Evan Guerrero had nine against Saint Joseph's on Feb. 14, 2009. Chick tied for the most caused turnovers in the nation this season (Division I) and tied Princeton's Sherrerd Field record, originally set by Villanova's Brian Karalunas.

Freshman Tristan Rai led the offense with three points behind two goals and an assist. Junior Cody Triolo recorded a goal and his first-career assist in his first action in exactly one month. Junior Ian Strain had a goal and assist as well; the two points for both juniors tied their career highs. Senior Reid Weber scored a goal and extended his goal streak to 16 straight games, dating back to last season, tied for the sixth longest active streak in the nation. He's scored 46 goals in that span and is up to 97 in his career.

Chick now leads the nation in caused turnovers (29) and is second in caused turnovers per game (2.42) while senior Tripp Telesco is third overall with 27 and fourth in caused turnover per contest (2.17). Telesco had two on Tuesday, to go with three groundballs, as the Mountain Hawks caused all 13 of Princeton's turnovers. Lehigh is up to fourth nationally with 9.25 caused turnovers per game.

Sophomore Matt Ernst enjoyed a solid performance on Tuesday, winning 10-of-20 faceoffs with five groundballs. Lehigh also got a goal from sophomore John Mehok, who has seen consistent playing time as of late. The Mountain Hawks led in shots (33-28), groundballs (35-23) and had just eight turnovers, to Princeton's 13, but Lehigh struggled to beat Tigers' goalie Tyler Blaisdell, who made 10 saves. Senior Ray Mastroianni recorded three groundballs to eclipse 50 GBs in his career while freshman Eddie Bouhall was strong with two groundballs and a caused turnover.

Saturday marks Lehigh's second-to-last regular season game of the season. The Mountain Hawks have already clinched a Patriot League Tournament berth and will play at Bucknell next Friday night with a Quarterfinal home game on the line. Lehigh is searching for its first win over Cornell since 1916. Ironically, that season, Lehigh and Cornell shared the National Championship.

.A storied program that has made 11 of the last 12 NCAA Tournament, Cornell is 5-5 on the season, coming off a big 10-9 overtime win over No. 11 Syracuse on Tuesday. The Big Red also have wins over Hobart, Virginia, Colgate and Dartmouth. Coloton Rupp leads the team in both goals (19) and points (20) while John Edmonds owns 19 points behind 11 goals and eight assists. Ryan Matthews (13 goals, three assists) and Ryan Bray (eight goals, eight assists) each have 16 points. Tony Britton leads the defense with 17 caused turnovers, to go with 27 groundballs. Domenic Massimilian has been stellar at the faceoff X, winning 63.4 percent on the season with a team-high 86 groundballs. Brennan Donville has started all 10 games in goal, owning a 9.39 GAA and .523 save percentage. Lehigh head coach Kevin Cassese played for Team USA in the 2006 ILF World Championships while current Cornell head coach Matt Kerwick was an assistant.

Lehigh leads the all-time series with Cornell, 9-4-3. A consistent rival beginning in the 1890s, Lehigh won the first seven meetings spanning from 1893 to 1905. The teams tied in 1906 before Cornell beat Lehigh for the first time in 1913. The teams tied by identical 1-1 scores in both 1914 and 1915. The Big Red have won three straight games, including a 12-3 win in 2006. Prior to that game, the teams hadn't met since 1955.

Following Saturday's game, Lehigh heads to Bucknell next Friday for the regular season finale. Opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m.
