Ruschel Named Academic All-Patriot League

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the second time in her cross country career, Lehigh senior Amanda Ruschel has been voted to the Academic All-Patriot League team.
The materials science and engineering major boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.92 and was an Academic All-Patriot League selection as a sophomore in 2014. She is a six-time member of both the Dean's List and the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as well as a two-time selection to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
In order to be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must have competed in at least 50 percent of his/her team's competitions and have a minimum 3.2 grade-point average.
Ruschel served a team co-captain this season and earned a Second Team All-Patriot League honor after placing 10th overall at the league championships. She also cracked the top-10 at the Lehigh Invitational and was third on the team, 77th overall, at the NCAA Regional meet.
