BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's lacrosse freshman midfielder Allison LaBeau has been named Patriot League Rookie of the Year to highlight five Mountain Hawks who earned All-League honors, as announced on Monday. Senior goalie Alexandra Fitzpatrick and junior defender Lauren Willcox also received first team All-Patriot League honors while junior attacker Carli Sukonik and sophomore midfielder Kendall Garden were named to the second team.

LaBeau becomes Lehigh's first Rookie of the Year since Kelly Draper in 2009. Draper was Lehigh's fourth rookie in as many years to win the award. Also the only rookie named a first team All-League honoree, LaBeau leads the team in scoring with 36 points on the season behind 28 goals and eight assists. She has 10 multi-goal games this season, led by a career-high four goals at Colgate and at Boston University. She was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week following her four goals at Colgate. LaBeau has posted double-figure points in six straight games entering the Patriot League Tournament, which begins on Tuesday at Boston University. LaBeau has also taken the majority of Lehigh's draws this season and has posted 20 draw controls, 15 groundballs and seven caused turnovers.

Earning her second-career first team All-Patriot League honor is Fitzpatrick, who owns a 51.2 save percentage which is good for fourth in the nation. She has an 8.14 goals against average, spearheading a defense that ranks 19th nationally allowing just 8.33 goals per game. Fitzpatrick made a career-high 17 saves in the Patriot League opener vs. Bucknell, helping propel the Mountain Hawks to a 10-4 win. That earned her Defensive Player of the Week honors. Fitzpatrick has recorded double-digit saves six times this season, including 14 vs. Lafayette and 11 in a big double overtime victory at Boston University.

Also on the first team is Willcox, who earns All-League recognition for a second straight year. She was a second team honoree a season ago. This year, Willcox has 18 groundballs and 16 caused turnovers as an anchor to the Lehigh defense. Willcox posted three caused turnovers in a strong effort at Navy while adding three in the regular season finale vs. Holy Cross. She has scooped multiple groundballs on six occasions this season and has been an integral part of Lehigh's top-20 defense. Willcox also scored a goal vs. Bryant.

Sukonik earns All-League honors for a third straight season. The junior leads the team with 31 goals and is second with 35 points on the season to eclipse 100 points in her already decorated career. She has also reached 97 career goals, quickly approaching the 100-goal plateau. Sukonik has 10 multi-goal games and five hat tricks this season, led by four goals at New Hampshire and four vs. California. Sukonik had three goals and one assist as part of the big 12-11 double overtime win at Boston University earlier this month. That effort earned her Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week laurels.

Garden has been a force all over the field as she garners All-League recognition for the first time in her career. The Davidsonville, Maryland native leads the team in groundballs (41), draw controls (22) and caused turnovers (31) and assists (11) while adding 20 goals for 31 points. She was named Patriot League Midfield Player of the Week following one goal, two assists, five groundball and four caused turnovers at New Hampshire. Garden has posted multiple caused turnovers on nine occasions and at least two groundballs in 12-of-15 games this season. Garden's recorded her first-career hat trick in the Patriot League opener against Bucknell while she added three goals and one assist at Navy.

Lehigh finished the regular season with a 7-8 record and 4-4 Patriot League mark. The sixth-seeded Mountain Hawks will travel to Boston University for the quarterfinals on Tuesday at 4 p.m. The winner advances to the league semifinals, hosted by overall #1 seed Loyola. Since brackets re-seed, if Lehigh wins on Tuesday, the Mountain Hawks would face the host Greyhounds on Thursday. Lehigh is making its first Patriot League Tournament appearance since 2011.
