BETHLEHEM, Pa.-Head coach Sue Troyan has announced the hiring of Colleen Mullen as the Mountain Hawks new assistant coach.  Mullen joins Glenn Rigney and Lauren Hall-Gregory as assistant coaches on staff this season.

"We're very excited about the addition of Colleen Mullen to our coaching staff.  She was an accomplished player and leader during her collegiate career, as well as being an accomplished student in the classroom during her undergraduate and graduate careers," said Troyan.  "It was clear through the interview process that Colleen holds many of values that are consistent with our program and university, and that she will be a strong fit with our Lehigh family."

Mullen has spent the past two seasons at Southern New Hampshire University as the lead assistant coach.  Some of her responsibilities as assistant coach included, recruiting coordinator, player development, scouting, director of the strength and conditioning program, monitoring of academic progress and development, and director of marketing and promotions.

Under the guidance of Mullen, the SNHU basketball team posted wins over nationally and regionally ranked teams, and reached their first New England-10 Tournament in school history.  Prior to SNHU, Mullen was the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations at Northern Illinois University, where she oversaw all administrative aspects of the program.

A 2003 graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Mullen was a two time captain and starting point guard on the Wildcats basketball team.  She received her bachelors degree in Business Administration and was recognized with the team’s Academic-Athletic Achievement Award two times.  She received her masters in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire in December 2006, graduating with a 3.86 GPA.
