WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Less than a week after earning medalist honors at the Lehigh Palm Beach Invitational, junior Crystal Lee led Lehigh with a 79 in the opening round of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate Sunday on the River Course at the Kingsmill Resort. Players battled cold, wet weather conditions Sunday as the Mountain Hawks shot 321 to tie for 13th place out of 28 teams after day one.
Lee’s 79 was good to tie for 31st place overall after 18 holes. She was followed by sophomore Kelly Moylan and senior Chelsea Michalek who shot 80 to tie for 44th place.
Others who competed for Lehigh were freshman Nicole Feierberg who is tied for 70th place after shooting 82, while senior Ginette Schapira shot 85 to tie for 98th place.
Boston College leads the team standings after one round with a score of 302, four shots better than second place Longwood. The Lancers’ Hannah Pierce and Delaware’s Annie Bowlsby shot 73 to tie for the 18-hole lead.
The three-day, 54-hole C&F Bank Invitational continues Monday with the second round of play from the River Course at the Kingsmill Resort.
