BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women’s tennis team will be hosting the Lehigh Fall Tennis invitational at Goodman Campus beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through Sunday. The event will take place on the Ulrich Varsity Lacrosse courts and inside the Lewis Tennis Center The event will take place on the Ulrich Varsity Courts and inside the Lewis Tennis Center. Lehigh will be joined by Saint Francis (Pa.), Bucknell, Delaware and Loyola (Md.) in the five-team event.
Lehigh will kick off the event with a doubles matches against Loyola starting at 3 p.m. on Friday. The Mountain Hawks will play singles matches against the Greyhounds at 4:30 p.m. Competition will continue on Saturday and Sunday starting at 9 a.m. with Lehigh facing
the remaining three teams in singles and doubles action. There will be no team scoring but all matchups will consist of three or four doubles matches and six to eight singles matches.
This year the team opened up the year at the West Point Invitational, hosted by Army. Six Lehigh players saw their first action of the fall season three weeks ago. The Mountain Hawk team is led by junior Jenai Bilimoria, who was a second team All-Patriot league selection a year ago.
This weekend’s event marks the first of two Lehigh Fall events the Mountain Hawks will host. Lehigh will host a second Fall Invitational October 26-28 on the Goodman Campus.
