BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh’s men’s swimming and diving team posted 12 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as the league announced its men’s winter/spring honor roll lists on Tuesday. To be eligible for the honor roll, the student-athlete must have a 3.20 or higher grade point average during the academic semester which coincides with his or her sport.
 
Junior Dave Pennenga topped the Mountain Hawks academically during the spring semester, posting a 3.92 GPA, while majoring in computer science. He was followed by junior Will Dearden, who registered a 3.86 in mathematics and senior Kevin Shoemaker who secured a 3.82 majoring in marketing.
 
Others named to the Academic Honor Roll included seniors Jared Blacker and Chris Toth, junior Michael Harshman, sophomore James Heintzelman and freshmen Sean Brant, Owen Dunbar, Tim Parsons, Christoph Schillig and Eric Sherwood.
 
A total of 97 men’s swimming and diving student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll, led by Bucknell’s Christian Treat, who was voted Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second straight year back in February.
