PRINCETON, N.J. – Lehigh men’s track and field senior Kyle Forrest earned All-East honors for the at the IC4A Championships over the weekend. Forrest placed fourth in the decathlon with 6,477 points to earn five points for the Mountain Hawks, which placed tied for 41st overall. Forrest finished first in the 1500m run (4:20.08) and the 400m run (50.10) and was second in the high jump (1.89m).
Forrest placed 11th in the decathlon at last year’s IC4A Championships.
Lehigh also got great performances in the high jump as Stephen Rumizen placed ninth with a distance of 2.07m.
In the 5,000m run Lehigh had three finish in the top 20 as Sam Bernitt was 11th (14:24.82), Tyler Mueller was right behind him in 12th (14:25.45) and James Miller was 17th (14:29.61).
Lyle O’Brien also put together a solid showing in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing 24th with a time of 9:22.01.
The Mountain Hawks will not wait to see who will qualify for the NCAA Regionals which will be May 25-26 in Jacksonville, Fla.
