Strong start not enough in loss to Penn
Lehigh scored the game’s first two goals and was within 3-2 at the half, but Penn proved too much as the Quakers exploded for 10 in the second to down the Mountain Hawks, 13-4 on a chilly Wednesday evening. Four different Lehigh players scored goals, led by a goal and assist from senior Julie McBrien.​

The Lehigh volleyball team will gain an once-in-a-lifetime experience when it travels to Beijing and Shanghai, China to not only tour the historic and magnificent cities, but also play tough opponents in Tsinghua University and East China University of Science and Technology, among others.

Lehigh posts 6-1 win over Monmouth Tuesday afternoon
In its first match in nine days, the Lehigh women’s tennis team cruised to a 6-1 win over Monmouth Tuesday inside the Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks swept three doubles matches and won five singles matches to improve to 4-11 on the season. Sophomore Molly Brooks delivered the clinching point at No. 5 singles, while freshman Marian Prim posted her first career singles win at No. 6 singles.​

Yale surges past Lehigh, 16-8
The Lehigh women’s lacrosse team took a 5-4 lead early in the second half, but Yale responded in a big way to down the Mountain Hawks 16-8 on Sunday afternoon. Three Lehigh players posted multiple goals, led by three from senior Julie McBrien while freshman Megan Paytas and sophomore Kelsey Yenco added two goals and two assists apiece.

#18 Lehigh cruises to 12-7 win over Navy
The #18 Lehigh men’s lacrosse team jumped out to a 6-1 lead and wouldn’t look back as the Mountain Hawks downed Navy, 12-7 on Saturday to improve to 3-0 in Patriot League play. Twelve different Mountain Hawks recorded a point, led by sophomore Dan Taylor who recorded his third-career hat trick and classmate Patrick Corbett who added two goals.

Lehigh drops tight 6-5 final at Lafayette
The Lehigh women’s lacrosse team scored three of the final four first-half goals, but Lafayette mustered the one and only goal of the second as the Mountain Hawks dropped a tough 6-5 final on Friday evening. Junior Alexandra Fitzpatrick was stellar between the pipes, making 13 saves while freshman Megan Paytas paced the offense with a pair of goals.

Lehigh to open spring campaign Sunday at Towson Invitational
The Lehigh men’s golf team returns to the links for the start of its spring season this weekend as the Mountain Hawks will compete at the Whiting-Turner Towson Invitational beginning Sunday at Prospect Bay CC in Grasonville, Md. The tournament is the first of five spring events for the Mountain Hawks, who will host the Patriot League Championship April 27-28 at Saucon Valley CC.

Lehigh drops two to tough Hofstra squad
In its final tune-up before the start of the Patriot League season, Lehigh was swept in a doubleheader by a strong Hofstra team Wednesday at Kaufman Field. The Pride took the opener 5-2 and won the nightcap 5-0 to end the Mountain Hawks’ 19-game home win streak. Freshman Morgan Decker had three of Lehigh’s 11 hits in the twinbill, while senior Liz Lucas extended her hitting streak to ten games.

Softball finishes off weekend sweep of Niagara
The Lehigh softball team came back twice on Sunday to sweep a doubleheader (and the weekend series) from Niagara. The Mountain Hawks took home wins of 4-3 (in nine innings) and 10-8 for their first four-game winning streak of the season. Senior Rosie Roessel paced the offense with three hits in game one while freshmen Alexis Watanabe and Morgan Decker posted three hits apiece in game two.

Three-time All-American Hamlin falls in bid for NCAA title
Lehigh senior Robert Hamlin fell short in his bid to win a NCAA title as the Mountain Hawks’ three-time All-American dropped a 12-4 major decision to Ed Ruth of Penn State in the 184 pound finals of the NCAA Wrestling Championships Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena. As a team, Lehigh finishes the tournament in 25th place with 18.5 points.
