Jeff Longacre is the latest addition to the strength training staff at Lehigh University. At the college level Jeff earned 1st team all Pennsylvania Athletic Conference honors as a linebacker in football. He also was a 2 time team MVP, a PSAC place winner and qualified for the NCAA championships in wrestling.
As the Bangor High School wrestling coach, Jeff introduced a strength program to the team which helped build them into a very competitive, respectable program and earn the school’s first and only league championship.
Jeff gave up coaching wrestling to coach his daughters in everything from soccer, little league and traveling softball, swimming and strength training. Both girls have gone on to find their niche in field hockey at the D1 college level.
Jeff also introduced strength training to the Bethlehem Y swim team and Freedom’s swim team. In 2001 Jeff initiated and developed the first strength program specifically for female athletes at Freedom HS. He continues to train the field hockey team, and some members of the girl’s basketball and volleyball teams.
Jeff continues to expand his knowledge and expertise in the field of strength training and conditioning, he truly enjoys working with the student/athletes at Lehigh.
