BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Coming off of a strong performance at Lafayette Saturday, junior E’lana Lemon has been named the Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by league Monday. This marks her first Field Athlete of the Week award in outdoor track and her ninth career Patriot League weekly honor.

The West Orange, N.J. native took first place in the hammer throw event Saturday with a distance of 54.10m, earning one of the Mountain Hawks 12 first-place finishes on the day and contributing five points to a 116-87 victory over the rival Leopards.
The distance qualifies Lemon for the ECAC Championships, which will be held in Princeton, N.J. on May 11th and 12th. Lemon finished 10th overall in the weight throw competition at the ECAC indoor championships in March.
The Mountain Hawks have not lost a dual meet to the Leopards since April 2010.
Lemon and the Mountain Hawks are next in action this weekend as they travel to Lewisburg, Pa. for the Bucknell Distance Classic, which will take place Saturday and Sunday.
