Lehigh has stellar showing in meet prior to Championships
In its final meet before the Patriot League Championships, the Lehigh women’s track and field team had some impressive results at the Lafayette/Rider Invitational at the NYC Armory. The Mountain Hawks had four first-place finishes highlighted by sophomore Jessica Kendzor’s victory in the 800-meter run. Kendzor’s time of 2:12.80 broke the school record of 2:13.23 set in 2009 by Sarah Serwo.

Lehigh competes Friday in final meet before Championships
In the final meet before the Patriot League Championships next weekend, the Lehigh women’s track and field team will compete at the Lafayette/Rider Invitational at 5 p.m. Friday at the NYC Armory. The Mountain Hawks have put together some stellar performances this season and will look to continue that trend on Friday prior to heading to Bucknell next weekend for the Championships.

Lehigh’s weekend highlighted by two school records
The Lehigh women’s track and field team competed in a pair of meets over the weekend. One group of Mountain Hawks went to the New Balance Collegiate Invitational at the NYC Armory while the other stayed home as Lehigh hosted the 20th John Covert Classic. In both non-scoring meets, Lehigh had some great individual performances highlighted by a pair of broken school records.

Mountain Hawks competing in pair of weekend meets
The Lehigh women’s track and field team will split up its squad to participate in a pair of meets this weekend. Some Mountain Hawks will compete at the prestigious New Balance Collegiate Invitational at the NYC Armory on Friday at 11 a.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. while the rest of the team while compete in the John Covert Classic which Lehigh will host at the Rauch Fieldhouse on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Doersam named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week
Lehigh women’s track and field senior Alexandra Doersam was named the Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week for her performance against rival Lafayette, as announced by the League Monday. The Islip, N.Y. native broke a pair of her own school records, sparking the Mountain Hawks to a dominating dual meet win over the Leopards on Saturday.

Lehigh dominates rival Lafayette 109.5-71.5 Saturday
In its lone dual meet of the season, the Lehigh women’s track and field team defeated rival Lafayette 109.5-71.5 Saturday at Rauch Fieldhouse. The Mountain Hawks took first in all 10 track events while senior Alexandra Doersam broke her own school records in the 60-meter dash and the long jump as she sparked Lehigh to its third straight victory.

Lehigh hosts dual meet vs. Lafayette Saturday
The Lehigh women’s track and field team will host rival Lafayette Saturday in a dual meet that is set to begin at 2 p.m. at Rauch Fieldhouse. The Mountain Hawks are coming off consecutive victories as Lehigh took first at West Point followed by the Mountain Hawk Invite. At last year’s dual with the Leopards, Lehigh came out on top 101-80 and will look for the same result Saturday.

Plombon named PL Female Rookie of the Week
Freshman Savanna Plombon has been named the Patriot League Female Rookie of the Week, as announced by the League Monday. The Frederick, Md. native placed first in the one mile run with a time of 5:03.49 and was also a member of the winning 4X800-meter relay team that finished with a time of 9:46.28. Plombon’s pair of first-place finishes helped pace Lehigh to victory at the Mountain Hawk Invite.

Lehigh wins Mountain Hawk Invite for second-straight victory
For the second straight week, the Lehigh women’s track and field team took home first place as Lehigh won the 12-team Mountain Hawk Invite. The two-day event ended Saturday with the Mountain Hawks dominating the field with 225.5 points. Lehigh had several outstanding performances including one by senior Alexandra Doersam who broke the school record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.89 seconds.

Lehigh hosts two-day Mountain Hawk Invite
The Lehigh women’s track and field team will host the Mountain Hawk Invite at Rauch Fieldhouse on Friday and Saturday. The meet will begin Friday at 5 p.m. and pick up again on Saturday at 9 a.m. The Invite will be an unscored meet that will feature 12 other schools and a total of 850 athletes. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a first-place finish at the six-team Army Meet at West Point.

Lemon wins third straight PL weekly award
For the third straight week and seventh time in her career, junior E'lana Lemon was named the Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the League on Monday. Lemon finished first in the weight throw with a distance of 16.63m to lead Lehigh to a first-place finish in a six-team meet at Army Saturday.

Lehigh wins Army six-team meet in impressive fashion
A solid team effort led Lehigh women’s track & field to a first-place finish at the Army six-team meet on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks won three events (the 1,000 meter run, 4X800 meter relay and weight throw) and racked up 142 points, ahead of Monmouth in second (120.5) and Patriot League power Amy in third (96.5).

Women’s Track and Field competes at West Point Saturday
The Lehigh women’s track and field team will compete in a six-team scoring meet Saturday with events slated to begin at 11 a.m. The Mountain Hawks will compete against host Army, Monmouth, Rider, Columbia and Williams. It will be Lehigh’s third meet of the season but will be the Mountain Hawks’ first scoring event as Lehigh returns to action for the first time in over a month.
