BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women’s tennis team returns to the Lewis Tennis Center this weekend to face Loyola (Md.) Sunday at 1 p.m. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 1-1 performance last week including a win over St. Francis (N.Y.) last Saturday.

Last week, in the home match against St. Francis, the Mountain Hawks were able to grab their second win of the season in an almost flawless performance as the Mountain Hawks won 7-0 that included six 6-0, 6-0 singles victories and a pair of 8-0 doubles wins. On Sunday however, Lehigh fell to Saint Joseph’s 6-1. The Mountain Hawks did not earn any points from the singles matches but won two of the doubles matches to account for their only point. At No. 1 doubles sophomore Jenai Bilimoria teamed with senior Liz Piscitelli and the No. 2 team of freshman Abby Farrell and sophomore Jill Sloand adden an 8-2 win as Lehigh took the doubles point before dropping the six singles matches.

Sunday’s opponent, Loyola is having another strong season. The Greyhounds are 9-1 in spring action and 11-1 overall this season. Loyola’s only loss is to Navy. Most recently, Loyola won a 4-3 decision over Villanova on Wednesday.

Sunday’s match marks Lehigh’s final tune-up before opening up Patriot League play against Navy Sunday April 1 in Annapolis, Md.

The Lehigh-Loyola match is set for a 1 p.m. start from Lehigh’s Lewis Tennis Center
