BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In the final match of its eight match home stand, Lehigh fell to Temple by a 7-0 score Sunday afternoon inside the Lewis Tennis Center. The visiting Owls rolled to wins in all three doubles matches and swept all six singles matches in straight sets to send the Mountain Hawks (2-7) to their second straight setback.

Temple captured all three doubles matches in order, with Lehigh’s No. 2 team of junior Taylor Hampshire and freshman Ali Kaminetsky taking three games from Alicia Doms and Jordan Batey.

The Owls completed the shutout by winning all six singles matches in straight sets. The two closest matches were at the top two flights, where Doms beat junior Jenai Bilimoria 6-4, 6-2 and No. 1 singles and Yana Mavrina won 6-2, 6-3 over sophomore Abby Farrell.

The Mountain Hawks will head to Florida next weekend for a pair of matches over spring break. Lehigh will take on Florida Tech Monday March 11 in Melbourne, Fla., and will face Bethune-Cookman two days later in Daytona Beach, Fla.
