BETHLEHEM, Pa – Lehigh’s women’s tennis program landed a league-best seven student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, announced Tuesday. Freshman Kathleen Larkin led the Mountain Hawks with a 3.93 grade point average in the College of Business and Economics. She was followed closely by classmate Jill Sloand who posted a 3.92 GPA in the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Last month, Larkin was named the women’s tennis team’s Athlete of the Year with her team-best 8-11 singles record.

Leading the list of Academic Honor Roll selections was sophomore Patricia Muething, who was voted Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women’s tennis last month. Muething posted a 3.68 GPA in Business during the spring semester and was also named to the inaugural Academic All-Patriot League women’s tennis team.

Seven of the eight players on Lehigh’s roster were named to the honor roll, with junior Liz Piscitelli, sophomore Abbey Perl and freshmen Jenai Bilimoria and Abigail Gendler.

To be eligible for the honor roll, the student-athlete must have a 3.20 of higher grade-poing average during the academic semester which coincides with his or her sport.
