Mountain Hawks face off against Raiders, Leopards in fall finale
The Lehigh women’s tennis team wrapped up its fall season welcoming Colgate and Lafayette for the Lehigh Fall Invitational, which concluded Sunday at the Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks squared off against the Raiders in singles and doubles and defeated the Leopards in five singles matches to close out the fall slate.

Lehigh to close out fall season hosting second home event
The Lehigh women’s tennis team will be hosting the Lehigh Fall Invitational beginning Friday at 3:30 p.m. The event will run through Sunday with action on the Ulrich Varsity Courts and inside the Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks will be joined by Patriot League rivals Lafayette and Colgate for the final event of the fall season.

Lehigh downs Saint Francis (Pa.) at Lehigh Fall Invitational
The Lehigh women’s tennis team hosted the first of two home events this month as the Mountain Hawks battled Loyola (Md.), Saint Francis (Pa.) and league rival Bucknell in the Lehigh Invitational which was contested Friday to Sunday on the Ulrich Varsity Courts and inside the Lewis Tennis Center. The highlight of the weekend for the Mountain Hawks was their performance against a Saint Francis squad that beat Lehigh last spring.

Mountain Hawks set to host first of two fall home events
The Lehigh women’s tennis team will be hosting the Lehigh Fall Tennis invitational at Goodman Campus beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through Sunday. The event will take place on the Ulrich Varsity Lacrosse courts and inside the Lewis Tennis Center The event will take place on the Ulrich Varsity Courts and inside the Lewis Tennis Center. Lehigh will be joined by Saint Francis (Pa.), Bucknell, Delaware and Loyola (Md.) in the five-team event.

Lehigh opens fall season at West Point Invitational
The Lehigh women’s tennis team opened its season at the three-day West Point Invitational, hosted by Army on the Malek Tennis Courts. The Mountain Hawks’ contingent featured six players who gained valuable experience despite the lack of positive results.

Women's tennis set to open fall slate at West Point Invitational
The Lehigh women’s tennis team will begin its fall season this weekend at the West Point Invitational, hosted by Army on the Malek Tennis Courts. The event will mark the season debut for the Mountain Hawks and their first competition following the restructuring of Lehigh’s tennis programs over the summer.

Lehigh announces restructuring within its tennis programs
Lehigh Dean of Athletics Joe Sterrett announced on Friday a restructuring of the coaching staff within the tennis programs. Both the men’s and women’s programs will now have a dedicated head coach. Dave Shook will continue as head coach for women’s tennis while former assistant coach, Wouter Hendrix, will move into the role of head men’s coach. In addition, the Mountain Hawks added women’s assistant coach Tammy Cecchini and graduate assistant (for both programs) Jackie Carleton.

Lehigh places 93 women on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
As part of a week-long celebration of the 40th anniversary of Title IX, the Patriot League announced all seven of its women’s winter/spring Academic Honor Rolls on Wednesday. Lehigh was well represented as the Mountain Hawks accounted for 93 of the over 650 women’s student-athletes named to the honor roll.

Sloand named to Academic All-Patriot League team
Lehigh sophomore Jill Sloand has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League women’s tennis team, it was announced Wednesday. Sloand leads the Mountain Hawks with a 3.94 cumulative grade point average as an industrial engineering major and has been a member of both the Dean’s List and the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Bilimoria represents Lehigh on All-Patriot League second team
Lehigh sophomore Jenai Bilimoria has been named to the All-Patriot League women’s tennis second team, it was announced Tuesday. Bilimoria represented the Mountain Hawks at the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles spots and consistently battled against the opposition’s top players. The All-League teams are voted on by the league’s head coaches.

Mountain Hawks' season ends in 4-0 loss to Bucknell in PLT
The Lehigh women’s tennis team saw its season come to an end on Friday as the Mountain Hawks fell to Bucknell 4-0 in the opening round of the Patriot League tournament on the Ulrich Varsity Courts. The fifth-seeded Bison won two tight doubles matches and captured three singles matches in straight sets to move into Saturday’s semifinals against No. 1 seed Navy.

No. 4 seed Lehigh set to host Patriot League Tournament
The Lehigh women’s tennis team will host the Patriot League tournament this weekend on the Ulrich Varsity Courts. The Mountain Hawks are the No. 4 seed in the field and will play No. 5 seed Bucknell Friday at 10 a.m. in the first of three quarterfinal matches. Bucknell has won the last seven matches in the series, including a 5-2 triumph last week. Lehigh will be looking for its first win over the Bison since 2006 and its first Patriot League semifinal appearance since 2009.

Lehigh rolls to 7-0 win over rival Lafayette
In its final match of the regular season Lehigh continued its recent dominance over rival Lafayette with a 7-0 win over the Leopards on an unseasonably warm Monday on the Ulrich Varsity Courts. The Mountain Hawks won two of three doubles matches and then swept through six singles matches to close out the regular season at 5-13 overall and 2-3 in Patriot League matches.

Mountain Hawks drop 5-2 league match Friday at Bucknell
The Lehigh women’s tennis team fell to 1-3 in Patriot League matches following a 5-2 loss to Bucknell Friday afternoon. The Mountain Hawks did win the top two singles flights, but Bucknell swept the doubles matches to take the first point and then won the first four matches to finish in singles action. Lehigh is now 4-13 overall on the season.

Lehigh closes out regular season with matches at Bucknell, vs. Lafayette
Lehigh (4-12, 1-2 PL) will look to win two in a row for the first time this season on Friday when the Mountain Hawks head to Lewisburg, Pa. to face the Bucknell Bison. The Mountain Hawks will also host the rival Lafayette Leopards on Monday to close out the regular season. The team is in the midst of its best stretch of the season, having won three of its last six matches.

Mountain Hawks edge Colgate 4-3 for first league win
After coming up short against the top two teams in the Patriot League, the Lehigh women’s tennis team picked up its first league win of the season on Saturday as the Mountain Hawks held off Colgate 4-3. The Mountain Hawks won the doubles point and added three singles wins to improve to 4-12 overall and 1-2 in league matches.

Lehigh faced the tough task of opening up Patriot League play with the top two finishers from last season, and seven-time defending champion Army showed its strength with a 7-0 win over the Mountain Hawks Thursday on the Ulrich Varsity Courts. Lehigh drops 6-1 decision at Navy in league opener
In its Patriot League opener, the Lehigh women’s tennis team fell to a tough Navy squad by a 6-1 score Sunday on the USNA Tennis Courts. Senior Liz Piscitelli led the way for the Mountain Hawks, teaming with freshman Gabby Drucker to win at No. 2 doubles, while also accounting for Lehigh’s only point with a win at No. 3 singles.

One day after picking up its second win of the season, Lehigh fell by a 6-1 score to Saint Joseph’s Sunday at the SJU Tennis Complex.
